Author’s Notes: Written for fandomtrumpshate 2025 for my winning bidder, neosaiyanangel. They offered several prompts, but one really spoke to my muse. Jessica Fletcher/Dennis Stanton & Seth Hazlitt & Mort Metzger; Dennis, the dashing thief turned insurance investigator, encounters Jessica semi-often. Clearly Dennis will end up in Cabot Cove because a fisherman is trying to scam his boat sinking. It’s obvious! But oh no! There’s a corpse in the boat! What in the world happened? Are they part of the scam? An innocent victim? Dennis will need Jessica’s help to get to the bottom of it. Thank you for the inspiring prompt!
