author's note: My first La Femme Nikita fic. This episode fascinates me. Not because it's good; it's alright, but because it makes some sort of attempt to address Nikita's emotional distance in the wake of the Gelman arc and the Volker mission. I just can't get over how awkward it must have been for Michael and Nikita while they were living in that apartment. How much affection does Michael allow himself to show? How does Nikita gracefully sidestep Michael's advances? Or, do they stick to their respective corners and eliminate the personal element while they're there? Uh, the angst! I love it. Also, yay for writing a fic in a 20+ year old fandom.
